Kerry Washington in Prada at the 2015 Met Gala in New York City |
My favorite look of the night!! Gigi Hadid killed it in a
stunning custom-made Diane von Furstenberg dress featuring a daring plunge neck
and thigh high split.
Without a doubt, all three of these ladies look
fantastic..BUT..it sorta looks like they were trying to win the competition for
"who can show the most skin award"..I was very underwhelmed. All three
of these looks remind me of the gowns you see on big cartel websites..no shade.
JLo decided to go commando in a sexy beaded bootylicious Versace gown..Kim K
wore a nearly naked Roberto Cavalli gown. This gown featured a plunging back,
long sleeves, & a feathered train. She actually covered a little more than
I expected! Lastly, Queen Bey. She wore a barely there Riccardo Tisci for
Givenchy gown. Bey left nothing to the imagination (I know the guys aren't
complaining). Her makeup was FLAWLESS, but her hairstyle looked like it
might have been inspired by one of Blue's My Little Pony toys. Don’t get me
wrong, I am a HUGE fan of all three of these ladies, but not a fan of the
gowns!
Rihanna wearing a jaw dropping canary yellow Guo Pei dress
and an exquisite headpiece. The train on this Chinese Couture dress required
the assistance of THREE gentlemen to carry across the red carpet and up the Met
stairs. The dress was handmade by one woman and it took her two years to make!
Go Rih, you look fab!!
Zendaya Coleman stood out in an extravagant Fausto Puglisi
ensemble. The dress featured a fitted, plunging black top & a red
structured & full mini skirt. Zendaya's dress also had a seriously long
train..Not as long as Rihanna's though haha..Z is always rocking cutting edge
fashion. You go girl!
Jessica Chastain looked fabulous in a Givenchy Haute Couture
by Riccardo Tisci mermaid gown that hugged her in all of the right places!
Janelle Monae turned heads in her signature hues, black
& white! This look featured a dainty crop top, pencil skirt, & dramatic
cape.
Lastly..I am SUPER obsessed with Gabrielle Union in this little sexy
number. Gabby went for a classy chic look for the red carpet in a long sleeve
Zac Posen gown. She switched it up for the after party in a sexy shiny black
dress that exposed some skin. Just the right mix of classy meets sexy! Oh hi Dwyane!
